York Hospital’s Women’s Committee Dinner and Theater Benefit August 5
For the 79th consecutive year, all are invited to enjoy the York Hospital Women’s Committee Annual Dinner and Theater Benefit on Thursday, August 5, 2010, beginning at 5:00pm with a cocktail party and dinner, catered by the Women’s Committee, at the home of Dr. and Mrs. John Lanni of York Village. Afterwards, guests will proceed to the Ogunquit Playhouse, where they will enjoy the musical adaptation of Sunset Blvd. ~ winner of seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical and starring Stefanie Powers as faded-film star Norma Desmond.
For 79 years, the Women’s Committee has supported York Hospital by raising more than $555,000 for the purchase of medical equipment, the renovation of patient areas and to support many hospital programs. While proceeds from last year’s benefit helped to fund the purchase of a SonoSite Ultrasound machine, this year’s proceeds will help fund renovations to the Breast Care Reception Area, slated to undergo renovations later this year as part of the For Every Patient campaign.
